Diane Taktak has worked part-time at the UKCME since November 2006. She was initially involved in the HEA sponsored National Subject Profile in Materials. Since then she has been involved with several UKCME projects including project managing the Centre’s Open Educational Resources project – CORE-Materials. She is now UKCME’s acting manager having taken over from Susan Doyle in January 2011.
She has an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Salford which was completed in 1994. In 2000 she also completed a part-time degree in Electronic Engineering.
