Diane Taktak has been working at the UKCME since November 2006 as a part-time research associate, specifically to work on an undergoing HEA sponsored project to review the student learning experience in Materials Science.
She graduated from UCLAN in 1989 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and then went on to complete a PhD in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Salford. She has worked as a research fellow in Biomechanics at the Manchester Metropolitan University, and during her last post worked undertaking research in 42V automotive systems at Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems (Europe).
She has recently returned to work after a career break to bring up children, and is working in a part-time capacity.
