This conference will be organised by the IPEM Special Interest Groups who will be running a number of joint sessions across the various specialties. The relaunch of the annual scientific meeting in this new format of putting the organisation in the hands of the SIG’s represents an intention to make this conference a flagship event for IPEM members in disseminating research and knowledge.
Papers will be allocated to oral, poster or demonstration sessions according to where they best fit within the program. Poster sessions will begin with a brief oral synopsis given by each author followed by managed discussion. In addition, there will be a number of industrial symposia, teaching, training and public sessions during the period of the conference.
Contributions are invited from Clinical Scientists, Technologists, Trainees, Academics and people working in industry. The general theme of the conference will be centred around the applications of physics and engineering in oncology. Specific themes will include:
Contributions from any other areas of physics and engineering applied to medicine and biology will also be considered.
