Share in key events for material educators, joining two days of talks, discussions, a social program, and poster sessions. The Symposium aims to provide a supportive and friendly international environment for the sharing of ideas and best practice in undergraduate teaching in Materials.
There will be four themes for the symposium:
- Innovation and change
- Materials, government, and industry
- Crossing disciplines—education for interface sciences
- Emerging challenges and opportunities in materials

The UKCME will be holding an interactive poster session at this event and will be demonstrating latest additions to the CORE-Materials website – the UK’s largest collection of copyright-free teaching and learning resources in Materials education.
The UKCME will be able to offer
bursaries for up to ten UK delegates, which will cover the symposium fee for 2 days of £135 and dinner on the 12th April (£45). To qualify for this bursary, delegates must provide the UKCME with a teaching/learning resource that can be included in the CORE-Materials database.
