Aims of the 2-day Weekend Event

  • To consider in detail aspects of the following: (i) course design, (ii) planning learning outcomes, (iii) choice of teaching methods, (iv) assessment of learning, and (v) evaluation of teaching.
  • To offer new academic staff an opportunity to reflect on problems which students encounter in studying, and on ways in which lecturers can assist student learning.
