A UK Centre for Materials Education Professional Development Workshop

Wednesday 24 March 2004, 10am - 4pm
Royal Institute of British Architects, London

Aims of the Workshop

Many academics are developing new learning resources and innovative
teaching approaches designed to enhance the student experience. For these
developments to be truly effective they should be informed by pedagogic
research - the exploration of the processes of learning and teaching. The
purpose of this workshop is to provide participants with an overview of the
scope of pedagogic research in the science related disciplines. The
approaches by which you might define, plan and implement your own pedagogic
research programmes will be discussed, and there will be an opportunity to
explore possible collaborative research projects with other delegates.

Event Organisation

This workshop has been organised by our partner centre LTSN Physical Sciences and is held in collaboration with the LTSN Subject Centres for Engineering, Psychology, and Geography, Earth & Environmental Sciences.
