'Towards excellent science teaching in university based education'
The aim of this national conference is to bring together practioners in the teaching of science disciplines in Higher Education to share their experiences, identify common challenges and to provide an opportunity to share effective practice. The conference programme will include keynote lectures, short oral presentation, hands-on workshops, posters and exhibitions.
Offers of contributions are invited for oral presentations (15 minutes), workshops (up to 2 hours) and poster presentations. Contributions on any of the following themes areparticularly welcome: recruitment, e-learning, assessment, sustainability, creativity, hands-on science. Abstracts of approximately 300 words should be typed in Times New Roman 12pt and emailed as an attachement to Katie Glover at k.glover@hull.ac.uk by 31 December 2004. Abstracts should include: informative title; author(s); department(s); institutution(s); contact email address and an indication of the type of contribution offered.
The registration fee for the conference will be £100 for those participants with an accepted abstract, otherwise the fee will be £150. You can register online at the conference homepage.
