Research Associate

Applications are invited for a research associate position to work on learning and teaching approaches in undergraduate materials courses. The post is supported by HEFCE through an Institute of Learning and Teaching fellowship grant and will be held in the School of Metallurgy and Materials at the University of Birmingham. The research will involve developing problem based learning and case study approaches in collaboration with lecturers.

Applicants should have, or be about to receive, a good Bachelors degree in science, engineering or education. The position is available from 1st October 2001 as a full time or part time appointment for a period of between 12 and 24 months (depending on the level of the appointment). The salary will be in the range £17,451 - 21,290 per annum.
