| A prototype Micrograph Library being developed as part of the FDTL3 DoITPoMS (Dissemination of Information Technology for the Promotion of Materials Science) project has been launched recently | ![]() |
The searchable and browsable prototype currently holds a little over 100 micrographs, mostly of alloy systems, with supporting metadata describing each micrograph. It is planned to increase and extend coverage to ceramics, composites, polymers and other categories in the coming months. All micrographs have been donated by academics and may be used free of charge in learning and teaching resources.
If you are interested in contributing micrographs to the Library, or have any comments on the prototype, please contact DoITPoMS via the Micrograph Library website.
